Supply Chain Manager
Own and develop Flattered’s global logistics setup across DTC and wholesale, with high autonomy and real impact on how we scale internationally.
Supply Chain Manager
Flattered is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to take full ownership of our global logistics and fulfilment operations, from day-to-day execution to long-term development.
About Flattered
Flattered is a Scandinavian footwear and leather goods brand with customers around the world through both DTC and selected wholesale partners. We combine a strong design and brand perspective with an ambitious international growth agenda, and operate with a small, entrepreneurial team where individuals have significant ownership and impact.
We sell shoes and accessories to customers around the world through both DTC and wholesale, with 3PL operations in Sweden and the US and production partners across several countries. As we continue to grow internationally, our logistics setup is becoming more complex – and increasingly important for customer experience, profitability and our ability to scale.
The role
This is a broad role with end-to-end ownership of our logistics operations. You will make sure the day-to-day operation runs smoothly while continuously improving the systems, processes and partnerships behind it.
You will report to the CFO and have a high degree of autonomy in how we run and develop our logistics operations.
One day you might negotiate a new freight agreement or lead the implementation of a new system or automation. The next you might solve a customs issue, investigate an inventory discrepancy or figure out why a wholesale delivery has not left the warehouse.
What you will do
Manage our 3PL operations in Sweden and the US, covering inbound, fulfilment, returns and inventory accuracy.
Manage the day-to-day performance and commercial relationships with our 3PLs, freight forwarders, carriers and other logistics partners, including negotiations and performance reviews.
Coordinate international inbound freight from factories to our warehouses, across air, sea and road.
Own outbound logistics for both DTC and wholesale customers globally, including service levels and delivery performance.
Own the broader wholesale logistics setup and its continuous improvement, including customer-specific requirements for labelling, packing, documentation and delivery instructions, while day-to-day wholesale administration is handled by our Wholesale Operations Manager.
Own and continuously improve our returns logistics, balancing customer experience, speed, cost and inventory availability.
Manage customs and trade compliance in our day-to-day operations, including import/export documentation, HS/HTS classifications, duties, tariffs, Incoterms and customs reporting.
Ensure inventory and logistics data is accurate across our systems and logistics partners, and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Monitor logistics performance and use data to improve service, accuracy, lead times and cost.
Make sure our logistics setup is ready for collection launches, wholesale deliveries, peak periods and other major volume changes.
Own logistics costs, validate supplier invoices and identify opportunities to improve both cost and service.
Lead operational improvement projects from problem definition to implementation, coordinating 3PL partners, developers and internal teams.
Build scalable systems and processes that reduce manual work, improve control and support continued growth.
Create clear processes, controls and documentation where they add value.
Work closely with Production, Wholesale, E-commerce, Customer Care and Finance.
Who we think you are
We are looking for someone who is highly self-driven, hands-on and comfortable taking full ownership.
You keep the operation running, but you are equally motivated by improving how it works. You do not wait for someone else to define the problem, tell you what to do next or push things forward.
You are comfortable moving between immediate operational issues and longer-term improvement projects – whether that means implementing a new logistics setup, improving customs flows, building better ways to manage documentation or redesigning a manual process that no longer scales.
You are the kind of person who sees a repetitive manual process and immediately starts thinking about how to automate it.
You think in systems, not workarounds. You know when a spreadsheet is enough – and when a proper system or integration is the better solution. You understand how systems connect, know what an API is, and are comfortable translating operational needs into clear requirements for developers or external technical partners.
You do not need to be a software developer, but you should be comfortable using technology to solve problems – whether through AI tools, automation, APIs, SQL or lightweight coding.
You are comfortable prioritising in a fast-moving environment and know when to solve something immediately, when to build a better long-term solution, and when good enough is good enough.
When something goes wrong, you take ownership of resolving it and making sure the same issue is less likely to happen again.
We think you bring:
Several years of experience within logistics, supply chain or fulfilment, preferably in fashion, retail, e-commerce or another international consumer business.
Hands-on experience managing 3PL operations and external logistics partners.
Experience with international freight and a good understanding of customs, duties and international trade.
Experience with DTC/e-commerce and/or wholesale/B2B fulfilment.
Strong commercial and analytical skills and an interest in the economics behind logistics decisions.
Good systems understanding and experience working with ERP, WMS, OMS, e-commerce platforms or similar systems.
The ability to use data to identify problems, understand root causes and improve performance.
Excellent English communication skills.
Experience with US logistics, Shopify and workflow automation is a plus.
To thrive at Flattered
You thrive in environments where not everything already has a process.
You take ownership, find the root cause of problems and get things done. You bring structure to complex operations without over-engineering them.
Most importantly, you make sure things work today while constantly improving how they should work tomorrow.
Logistics directly affects customer experience, working capital, margin and our ability to grow.
This is an opportunity to take real ownership of a complex international logistics setup and help build the systems, processes and partnerships needed for Flattered’s next stage of growth.
Interested in joining Flattered? Please submit your application in English, including your resume and cover letter, no later than October 11. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
